Germany based RWE has increased its renewable capacity under construction in Italy to 235 MW. In Campania, the 19 MW (AC) Ponte Valentino 1 & 2 solar parks in Benevento are under development with more than 32,000 modules across 25 hectares, with commissioning planned for 2026. The company is also building four Agri-PV plants totaling 38.2 MWac and around 50,000 modules across Campania, Sicily and Calabria. These projects will use elevated or high-tilt mounting systems to enable agricultural and pastoral activities beneath the panels, with performance and agricultural data to be monitored. Once operational, the portfolio is expected to supply electricity to over 190,000 households.
