UK-based RES signed its first O&M contract with Matrix Renewables to manage more than 300 MW of solar capacity across Jaén, Huelva, Seville, Badajoz and Valladolid in Spain. The agreement expanded RES’s activity in Andalusia, Extremadura and Castile and León. Matrix Renewables operated in multiple countries and used an integrated asset-management model requiring technical and digital support. RES said the contract showed confidence in its ability to manage large solar portfolios. The agreement followed RES being ranked second globally in solar O&M by Wood Mackenzie. RES managed 21.9 GW of solar capacity worldwide, including 8.5 GW in Spain, 13 GW in EMEA and growing volumes in the Americas. The contract marked a step in RES’s expansion and its role in Spain’s solar O&M market.
