Recurrent Energy, US-headquartered solar and storage asset developer, has received a Development Consent Order for its Tillbridge hybrid project in Lincolnshire. The porfolio combines 800 MW solar capacity and a 500 MW / 1,000 MWh BESS. Canadian Solar, the parent company of Recurrent Energy, said the approval was issued by the UK Secretary of State for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Tribus Clean Energy, UK renewable developer, remains the joint-venture partner for the site east of Gainsborough. Recurrent Energy has announced that the facility is expected to generate about 857.6 GWh of clean electricity annually, sufficient to power nearly 300,000 UK homes. Over it's lifetime, the facility will avoid more than 15 million tonnes of COâ‚‚ emissions and is expected to create nearly 1,250 jobs during construction.
