Recurrent Energy, a US-headquartered developer of solar and storage assets, said that it has secured a Development Consent Order for the Tillbridge hybrid project in Lincolnshire.The project is planned with 800 MW of solar PV and 500 MW / 1,000 MWh of battery storage. Canadian Solar, a China-based PV manufacturer and Recurrent Energy’s parent, noted that the approval was issued by the UK Secretary of State for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Tribus Clean Energy, a UK-based renewable developer, has remained the joint-venture partner for the site located east of Gainsborough. Recurrent Energy said that project documents have outlined expected annual electricity generation and defined construction-phase workforce requirements.
