Recurrent Energy, a Canada-based solar and energy storage developer and subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc., has signed a 10-year power purchase agreement tied to its 8.05 MWp Pozzolo PV project in Italy. The contract has been executed with a major Italian fashion group, covering 80% of generation from the solar installation under a long-term renewable electricity supply structure. The Pozzolo solar plant, installed in an industrial area in the municipality of Pozzolo, Piedmont, has recently entered commercial operation and begun supplying contracted renewable electricity. The Pozzolo solar installation is anticipated to generate about 10,864 MWh annually while supplying Guarantees of Origin, supporting contracted renewable electricity delivery under the long-term arrangement. According to Recurrent Energy estimation, the facility could avoid more than 2,500 tons of CO₂ emissions each year, with output sufficient to supply electricity to over 4,100 homes.
