Qair, a France-based independent renewable energy company, has been awarded 190 MW of solar Contracts for Difference (CfD) in the UK under the government’s CfD scheme. The awarded projects include Lark Hill in Essex and Brecks in Nottinghamshire, and form part of Qair’s approximately 1 GW advanced pipeline in the country. Construction of the first UK solar sites is scheduled to begin in 2026, with initial commissioning targeted for early 2027. The CfD awards have followed Qair’s 2024 acquisition of Green Switch Capital, after which 150 MW AC / 190 MWp of solar projects were fully consented in the UK. In 2025, the company reported 800 MW across multiple technologies were total consented and submitted a consent application for the Ayre Offshore Wind Farm.
