Dutch developer PowerField has completed seven solar parks that added more than 170 MW to its portfolio. The company’s operational solar capacity has reached 300 MW across several Dutch provinces. The final project, Solar Park De Mun in North Brabant was recently completed. The solar parks were located in North Brabant, Gelderland, Overijssel and Drenthe. Several parks were developed by PowerField, while others were acquired before the construction. All seven projects became operational, although final site work was scheduled in the coming months. According to PowerField, the expanded capacity has supported its plan to combine generation, storage and trading activities. The company said this approach has enabled more flexible use of solar energy. PowerField stated that the integrated model has helped manage grid demand and reduce congestion risks.
