Plenitude, an Italy based renewable firm, has inaugurated the 150 MW Caparacena solar project in Chimeneas and Ventas de Huelma. The plant was built across 264 hectares and used three 50 MW parks with 274,000 bifacial modules. It is designed to generate about 320 GWh annually. Archaeological monitoring during construction in April 2024 led to a 6th-century BC Iberian necropolis discovery. The find included ceramic urns and artefacts and was preserved under project requirements. The company has implemented environmental and soil-protection measures during development. With this commissioning, Plenitude reached nearly 1.5 GW of installed capacity in Spain.
