Photosol, a French independent solar power producer (IPP), has reported that it contributed data from its agrivoltaic installations to the newly launched National Agrivoltaics Observatory led by ADEME. The observatory was created to improve transparency, gather operational feedback, and inform farmers, local authorities, public bodies, and project developers. France had about 600 MW in operation, around 200 MW under construction, and about 1.5 GW authorized as of October 2025. Photosol had around 200 MW of fixed-panel agrivoltaic projects and was identified as a leading operator in operational capacity. The company said that agrivoltaics relied on evaluation, land-use preservation, local energy production, and continued dialogue among stakeholders.
