Opdenergy, a global independent power producer, has secured 10 solar projects of totaling 278 MW in Italy through the latest Fonti Energetiche Rinnovabili X (FER-X) auction. The projects were backed by 20-year pay-as-produced PPA contracts covering about 95 % of generated energy. The assets were spread across regions including Piemonte, Campania and Puglia. The construction was scheduled to start in 2026. The awarded capacity formed part of Opdenergy’s roughly 4 GW pipeline of solar, storage, and wind projects in Italy. The projects were expected to contribute to national renewable power deployment under the FER-X framework and support long-term power supply under regulated contracts.
