Nextpower Arabia, a joint venture between Nextpower and Abunayyan Holding, has announced that it will provide 2.25 GW of solar tracking systems to Larsen & Toubro for the Bisha Solar project in Asir Province. The project is being developed by an ACWA Power-led consortium under SPPC’s Wave 6 NREP tender. The order marked the first major project executed through the new joint venture, which is fully operational and will supply the systems through localized sales, manufacturing, and delivery. The Bisha project is the largest Wave 6 solar project and forms part of Saudi Arabia’s expanding utility-scale solar portfolio. ACWA Power, together with Badeel and SAPCO, earlier announced plans to invest $8.3 billion in seven renewable projects totaling about 15 GW.
