Nama Power and Water Procurement Company, a Muscat-headquartered electricity and desalinated water buyer, has overseen large-scale renewable procurement across Oman. According to the Company, around 1,600 MW of solar and wind capacity has remained under procurement. The pipeline has included Al Kamil Phase I Solar IPP, targeting 450 MW to 500 MW capacity. As per Nama Power and Water Procurement Company, three mega wind farms were planned at Mahoot, Duqm and Sadah. Nama PWP has commissioned Manah Phase I and II solar IPPs totaling 1,000 MW capacity. The company also completed tendering of Ibri Phase III, integrating 500 MW solar with 100 MWh storage. Further awards included Dhofar Phase II and JBB Phase I wind farms, expanding grid-connected wind capacity.
