Mirova, a Paris-based asset manager, announced a $19 million investment in Cold Solutions Kiambu (SEZ) Limited in January 2026. Part of this funding was used to install on-site solar power at the facility. The project included a rooftop solar system supplying about 30% of the facility’s electricity demand, directly supporting cold storage and logistics operations. Solar generation was combined with energy-efficient refrigeration and ammonia-based cooling systems at the Tatu City facility. Cold Solutions Kiambu operated around 15,000 pallet positions serving agricultural and pharmaceutical supply chains. The investment was made through the Mirova Gigaton Fund and aligned with selected United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
