METLEN Energy & Metals, global industrial and energy company, and the Tsakos Group have entered into a partnership to jointly develop and operate a large hybrid power project in Greece. The joint venture assigns 60% stake to Tsakos Group and 40% stake to METLEN. The project includes 251.9 MW solar plant and 375 MWh energy storage system in Central Greece. The construction was expected to begin in 2026 and finish in early 2028. METLEN was planned to hold an equity stake, oversee construction, and manage the project’s commercial operations.
