METLEN Energy & Metals, a global industrial and energy company, was selected by EDF power solutions UK and Ireland to deliver engineering, procurement, and construction services. The scope covered the 400 MW Longfield Solar Farm in the UK. The project was among the largest solar developments in the country and is located in Essex. METLEN is collaborated with EDF on project execution and engagement with local supply chains and education initiatives in the region. The project is expected to supply electricity equivalent to about 130,000 households. A portion of the project’s electricity output was allocated to Transport for London through a corporate power purchase agreement signed in July 2025.
