Swiss based MET Group has started commercial operations at its Caltignaga solar power plant in Italy. The Agri-PV project has an installed capacity of 10 MW. The plant is expected to generate 15 GWh annually and it can supply electricity to around 6,000 Italian households each year. Around 15 thousand solar panels were installed. EPC was executed by CMC Europe Italy SRL. Caltignaga is MET Group’s second operating solar project in Italy. The offtaker structure for both plants includes Corporate PPAs, GSE, and MET Energia Italia. Both Caltignaga and Ferrera Erbognone Agri-PV systems allow agricultural land use alongside power generation. The two power plants are owned by Keppel MET Renewables (KMR).
