Kuwait has extended the bid submission deadline for the 500 MW Al Dibdibah Power and Al Shagaya Renewable Energy Phase III Zone 2 solar PV project. The project is located within the Shagaya Renewable Energy Park in Jahra Governorate. Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP), the Ministry of Electricity & Water and Renewable Energy and Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research are overseeing the project. Nine consortia were prequalified in October 2025 to develop and operate the IPP facility. The original bid deadline of 16 February 2026 has been extended to 30 April 2026. The prequalification notice for the project was first issued in May 2025.
