Kuwait has extended the bid submission deadline for the 500 MW Al Dibdibah Power and Al Shagaya Renewable Energy – Phase III – Zone 2 Solar PV IPP project until the end of April. The prequalification notice was issued in May 2025. The project is located within the Shagaya Renewable Energy Park in Jahra Governorate. The RFP issued in November 2025 set the original deadline as 16 February 2026. In early February, KAPP director Asma Al-Mousa said the deadline was extended to 30 April 2026. She noted that Zone 2 requirements differ from Zone 1, which has 1,100 MW capacity. Additionally, KAPP also extended the Al Khairan Phase 1 IWPP bidding deadline to 31 March 2026.
