Finland based renewable energy developer Ilmatar has secured legally binding environmental permit for the Persköp solar power park in Örkelljunga Municipality, Skåne, Sweden. The permit was granted by the County Administrative Board of Skåne on 24 October 2024 and entered into legal force after the Land and Environment Court dismissed an appeal on 2 February 2026. The Persköp project is designed with an estimated installed capacity of just over 90 MW and will cover approximately 125 hectares. The site is currently used mainly for commercial forestry land. Ilmatar plans to integrate battery energy storage alongside the solar installation to manage production variability and support grid frequency stability. The project has now entered into the detailed planning phase and aiming to secure  power purchase agreement ahead of a final investment decision.
