Spain based Iberdrola has brought the Daybreak Solar (189 MW (DC)) and Bakeoven Solar (80 MW (DC)) photovoltaic plants into commercial operation in Wasco County, Oregon, through Avangrid. The facilities add a combined 269 MW (DC) and are supplying electricity to Portland General Electric under a state programme for large municipal, industrial and commercial customers, including Intel. The projects support local employment and economic activity in Oregon. Iberdrola operates transmission, distribution and generation assets across several US states, serves nearly 10 million people and reports €49.4 billion (~$ 58.25 billion) in US assets with planned investments of €16 billion (~ $18.86 billion) by 2028.
