Hekla Energy, energy trading company, has signed an agreement to purchase and balance electricity from three photovoltaic farms of the Budimex Group with a total capacity of over 60 MW. The portfolio included the Azalia PV farm owned by BXF Energia, with annual production of nearly 70 GWh. The contract covered energy purchase and balancing services for installations with variable output. The supplied electricity is equivalent to the annual needs of more than 25,000 households. The generation corresponded to estimated reduction of around 50,000 tons of CO₂ per year. BXF Energia focused on developing and commercialising renewable energy assets within the Group. Hekla Energy acted as the trading and balancing partner for the generated electricity.
