Grenergy, a Spain-based renewable energy developer, has secured a 20 year solar CfD contract for its Fibden hybrid project in the UK, through a NESO auction. The Fibden Farm Solar & BESS installation includes 40 MW / 53 MWp of PV capacity and 160 MWh of storage located in Worcestershire. The agreement sets a CPI-indexed fixed price of GBP 65.23 per MWh (~ $88.06 per MWh) covering 80% of solar electricity output. It guarantees a minimum allocation of GBP 55 million (~ $74.25 million), equivalent to EUR 63 million (~ $74.34 million) in revenues over the term. The Fibden hybrid installation is set to begin operations between March 2028 and February 2029. The BESS installation is intended to capture additional revenues from ancillary services and capacity markets.
