Lithuanian developer, GREEN GENIUS has commissioned 120.8 MW solar park in Jēkabpils, Latvia. The project involved €96 million (~ $113.41 million) investment and was the largest single-site solar facility in the Baltic States with expected annual output of 140 GWh. The site is spanned roughly 153 hectares which is equivalent to the area of about 215 football pitches and extended over several kilometres in the Jēkabpils region. The facility has 183,000 solar modules with power transmission handled by 312 inverters and eleven transformer substations. A 50 MW / 100 MWh battery energy storage system is being integrated at the site. The hybrid configuration is intended to support grid stability and continuous energy supply.
