Germany-based GOLDBECK SOLAR Polska has completed the MIX Marszewo project in Poland. The project integrated the existing Marszewo wind farm with the new 90 MW Postomino photovoltaic plant for TAURON. The project used cable pooling technology at the 110 kV level, sharing a 100 MW grid connection to transmit combined output. The scope included PV construction, medium- and high-voltage infrastructure, two 50 MVA transformers, STATCOM-based reactive power compensation and over 7 km of underground 110 kV cabling. One control system operated both the wind and solar plants and shared the same grid connection. When wind generation is low, the system allowed the solar plant to increase output to around 64 MW, making better use of the available grid capacity. The construction has started in spring 2024. The main works were completed by mid-2025 and commissioning began in August 2025. The project was handed over to TAURON Zielona Energia in December 2025.
