Global Energy Services (GES), Spanish engineering and construction company, has signed four photovoltaic plant contracts in the last quarter, totaling 343.26 MW and €196.42 million (~$229.81 million) of investment. According to GES, these EPC projects in Palencia, Teruel, Ciudad Real and Burgos will supply renewable electricity to over 168,000 households and avoid more than 192,000 tons of CO₂ equivalent annually. GES has stated that PV energy is expected to account for nearly 70% of construction business revenue this year. GES also has more than 1 GW of wind projects in the pipeline, awaiting key permitting milestones. GES said that it is advancing technological diversification through BESS initiatives, including a 340 MW × 4h installation in Chile.
