Denmark-based renewable energy developer, European Energy has secured its first Contracts-for-Difference (CfD) tenders in France from the French energy regulatory commission (CRE). The awards cover two agrivoltaic parks, Les Mathieux and La Forge, located in Saint-Voir municipality within the Allier department. These projects total 21.2 MW in capacity, with 15 MW specifically supported under the CfDs through the competitive tender process. Development began in 2021 to align with France's agrivoltaic regulations, including provisions from the APER (Loi relative à l’Accélération de la Production d’Énergies Renouvelables) law accelerating renewable production. The construction and commissioning of the portfolio are scheduled for 2027. Over 2025, the company has reported total renewable offtake agreements reaching 1.2 GW.
