Denmark based European Energy has been awarded Contracts for Difference (CfD) for three UK solar projects totaling 116 MW under Allocation Round 7a. The Church Farm, Manor Farm and Old Hall Farm projects secured a strike price of GBP 65.23 per MWh, which is index-linked for 20 years. In total 4.9 GW of solar PV capacity has been secured contracts in this round. The CfDs provide revenue for certainty and support development and construction. European Energy current portfolio in UK includes wind, solar and Power-to-X assets, including four solar farms under construction, 300 MW in structuring and 736 MW under development. The UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero stated that AR7 delivered 14.7 GW across technologies.
