Ethical Power, a UK‑based vertically integrated renewable energy firm, has transferred the 49.9 MW Burcot Energy Park to Chint Solar, a global PV developer and EPC contractor. The 140-acre project is located in South Oxfordshire and includes co-located solar PV and BESS facilities. The site was designed to supply electricity for about 18,000 homes each year. All required planning permissions were secured before the transaction was completed. Chint Solar has planned to advance construction activities and serve as EPC for the project. Grid connection was scheduled for 2027 under the existing development timeline. The project was the first solar farm in England classified as grey belt development. The design also incorporated habitat features targeting an 86.7 percent biodiversity net gain. Statements from company representatives noted the completion of the acquisition and the cooperation achieved during the process.
