Enviromena, a portfolio company of Arjun Infrastructure Partners, has confirmed that its Rhigos in Rhondda Cynon Taf and Parley Court Farm in Dorset secured Contracts for Difference (CfD) support under the UK Government’s Allocation Round 7 (AR7). The round awarded 4.9 GW across 157 projects, 50% higher than the previous allocation, at a strike price of GBP 65.23/MWh (2024 prices). AR7 extended contract terms from 15 to 20 years, while the CfD mechanism secured fixed-price power to provide long-term price stability. The mechanism is expected to lower consumer energy bills and both projects contribute to the Government’s 57 GW solar capacity target by 2030.
