Enso Energy, UK‑based renewable energy developer, has confirmed that the Helios Renewable Energy Project received consent from the Secretary of State for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. The project was described as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project with solar PV capacity and battery storage. Bill Rees, Managing Director of Enso Energy, stated that the project had received Secretary of State consent and noted its relevance to UK Clean Power 2030 targets. The consent increased the total number of projects developed through the Enso Energy and Cero Generation joint venture to 27. The company recorded this as a project milestone.
