Emicool, joint venture betweenDubai Investments and Actis, has partnered with Yellow Door Energy, a UAE-based solar developer, to commission four solar plants. These plants totalling 1.2 MWp across Dubai, as per Dubai Investments. The companies said the project was implemented under a solar lease model, where Yellow Door Energy has financed, built and operated the systems without upfront capital for Emicool. The installations were located at Dubai Investments Park 2, Motor City and Expo City Dubai and used over 1,860 panels across rooftop, carport, façade and TES tank applications. Dubai Investments added that the systems were expected to generate 1.5 million kWh annually and reduce around 600 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
