Elmya has launched a hybrid renewable energy project in Scotland, United Kingdom. The development integrates 30 MW photovoltaic plant with a 20 MW / 40 MWh battery energy storage system at single grid connection point. It is the first project in the United Kingdom to be developed by Elmya Energy and constructed by Elmya EPC. The scope includes PV Full EPC Lite, BESS balance of system works and interconnection services as an accredited Independent Connection Provider. Elmya will manage the link between the customer substation and the Distribution Network Operator switching station. The company will also construct the substation building, including civil works and installation of non-primary equipment. All works will be executed in coordination with Scottish Power Energy Networks in line with technical and regulatory requirements. The project reinforces Elmya’s position in the United Kingdom’s photovoltaic, storage and high-voltage interconnection market.
