Singapore headquartered ELITE Solar has commissioned a 5 GW photovoltaic manufacturing facility in Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone. The facility includes 2 GW of solar cell capacity and 3 GW of solar module production. It is designed as an integrated manufacturing platform serving utility-scale, commercial and industrial markets. Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly attended the commissioning ceremony in January 2026. On January 23, the company hosted clients, suppliers, and partners for a site visit focused on N-type cell and module production, supply chain coordination and production planning. The Ain Sokhna facility formed part of ELITE Solar’s international manufacturing expansion, supporting regional demand across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and North America.
