The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, an Egypt-based power sector authority, has issued a Pre-Qualification Request (RFPQ) for a 500 MW PV project in West Nile. Through the Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model, the selected developer will undertake financing, construction, ownership and operation. The procurement process is being conducted through the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company. The transmission company will purchase generated electricity under a Power Purchase Agreement framework. The framework targets development of solar production capacity of up to 1.5 GW. The RFPQ document fee has been set at $500, payable in cash or bank transfer. Qualification documents have been available since 12 February 2026 at the Procurement Sector headquarters. Statements of Qualification must be submitted in hard copy and electronic format by 11 May 2026 at 12:00 pm.
