Madrid, Spain headquartered EDP Renewables stated it had signed its first corporate PPA in Poland. The agreement combined solar and wind supply for Carrefour Polska under one long-term contract. The company stated that the PPA was designed to deliver 50 GWh of renewable electricity annually. It added that the supply was expected to avoid more than 54,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. EDP Renewables noted that Poland was one of its core markets with significant renewable capacity. Over 1 GW of projects was developed in the country, supporting continued PPA deployment. The company said that long-term agreements were used to manage energy-market volatility. It stated that this contract reflected current corporate demand for stable renewable procurement.
