EDF Power Solutions UK, subsidiary of France’s EDF Group, has signed two Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPA) with BAE Systems and NatWest Group to supply renewable electricity from the Tye Lane solar farm in Suffolk. The 49.9 MW project is under construction and is due for completion in Spring 2026. The agreements build on existing CPPAs between EDF Power Solutions UK and BAE Systems at the Stranoch onshore wind farm in Scotland and with NatWest at the Porth Wen solar farm in Wales. EDF Business & Wholesale facilitated the CPPAs and will manage shaping, balancing, and sleeving services for power delivery. Once operational, the Tye Lane solar farm will supply electricity to BAE Systems, covering around 15 % of its current UK demand, and will also provide power to NatWest offices and retail branches, supporting each company’s stated emissions reduction objectives.
