Israel-headquartered independent power producer,Econergy Renewable Energy said that it has signed a €40.5 million (~ $47.0 million) project-finance agreement with UniCredit Bank. The agreement was made for its 87 MW Oradea solar project in Romania’s Crișana region. The project was fully connected to the grid in August 2025 and has been generating revenues since then. Econergy Renewable Energy has added that the facility will be used to refinance earlier construction loans. The company has outlined plans to integrate a 68 MW BESS component at the site, with an estimated €21 million (~ $24.4 million) investment. As per Econergy Renewable Energy, the storage system is expected to contribute €8.4 million (~ $9.8 million) in annual revenues and €6.7 million (~ $7.8 million) in EBITDA over its first five operating years.
