Econergy Renewable Energy, a European Independent Power Producer, has connected its 52 MW Resko solar project in Poland to the national grid. The project was owned by Econergy UK with 51% and Phoenix Insurance with 49%. Full commercial operation was expected within 30 days. A vPPA was signed with Apple, covering about 75% of the project’s electricity for 19 years. The remaining output was set for sale on the wholesale market. Econergy UK also received a DSO license from Poland’s Energy Regulatory Office, allowing greater flexibility for future project development.
