UK-headquartered Downing has expanded its renewable portfolio through two RTB solar acquisitions in Devon and Shropshire. The Devon project is an approved approx 15 MW site with a 40-year lease and planned 2027 commissioning. The Shropshire project is an approx 20 MW site with similar terms and commissioning. Both projects have 15-year CfDs with LCCC that provide inflation-linked pricing. Downing Renewable Developments was assigned to manage development and delivery activities. The projects were expected to supply electricity for approx 12,000 homes and offset 14,600 tons of COâ‚‚ yearly. The acquisitions added to Downing’s portfolio of approx 16,000 UK solar installations.
