London based Investment manager Downing has acquired the 42.5 MW Higher Witheven Solar project in Launceston, Cornwall. The deal expands its UK ready-to-build solar portfolio. The project is expected to be connected to the grid and finished by the end of 2027. The project includes biodiversity enhancements and a landscape-led design. Downing said the acquisition aligns with its long-term strategy to build and manage renewable assets delivering stable returns while supporting the UK’s low-carbon transition.
