The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero have published the results of Contracts for Difference Allocation Round 7a on 10 February 2026, with National Energy System Operator (NESO) notifying applicants of the outcome. A total capacity of 6,232.09 MW was awarded across Solar PV, Onshore Wind, and Tidal Stream. Solar PV accounted for 4,905.01 MW, Onshore Wind for 1,306.18 MW, and Tidal Stream for 20.90 MW. England held 4,247.18 MW or 68.60%, Scotland 1,427.28 MW or 22.88%, and Wales 531.63 MW or 8.52%. Clearing strike prices were set at £ 46.82 per MWh for Solar PV, £ 51.85 per MWh for Onshore Wind, and £ 190.19 per MWh for Tidal Stream in 2012 prices. Maximum savings against administrative strike prices were 13.03% for Solar PV, 21.48% for Onshore Wind, and 28.57% for Tidal Stream.
