Aukera Energy backed by AtlasInvest has announced that the 45 MW (AC) Loch Fergus Solar Farm secured a Contract for Difference (CfD) in the UK’s 7th CfD auction. The project is located near South Ayrshire in Scotland and is developed with JV partner Locogen. It forms part of a broader development that includes 40 MW co-located battery storage facility, bringing total planned capacity to more than 85 MW. The project is designed to supply power into the GB system once operational. Aukera is plan ing to progress the project to financial close and construction, contributing to the 250 MW of capacity becoming operational in Great Britain this year.
