Aslan Energy Capital, a Singapore-based renewable-energy developer, stated that it signed a Heads of Agreement with the Government of Karimun Regency to outline the framework for MU CITY. This MU city is a planned integrated development focused on clean energy, e-mobility, advanced manufacturing and digital infrastructure. As per Aslan Energy Capital, the project was structured for around a 2 GW solar energy designed to supply industrial zones, data-center loads and mobility-manufacturing facilities across a 4,000 hectare site. According to Aslan Energy Capital, local community participation was expected through defined training programs, workforce involvement and structured engagement with regional stakeholders. The Karimun Regency Government said that the agreement established cooperation on planning, permitting and land allocation needed for phased development.
