Ampyr Solar Europe (ASE) has announced in London that it has acquired the East Yorkshire Solar Farm (EYSF) project from BOOM Power Ltd. The project is in East Yorkshire and will connect to the substation next to Drax power station. It is designed to deliver approximately 530+ MW of electricity, it is expected to power around 100,000 homes. The project is expected to create construction-phase employment and indirect regional economic benefits, with BOOM Power continuing its involvement through construction and planned energisation in 2029. The acquisition expands ASE’s construction-ready photovoltaic and BESS portfolio, taking its UK pipeline to over 2.5 GW and its aggregate pipeline across the UK, Germany and the Netherlands to more than 7 GW.
