AMPYR Distributed Energy, a UK-based distributed energy provider under AGP Group, has announced the acquisition of Shawton Energy, a UK company supplying fully funded onsite solar systems for commercial users. AMPYR Distributed Energy said that the transaction was intended to integrate Shawton Energy’s existing customer relationships and operational experience into its distributed asset base. Shawton Energy has kept its brand, staff members, and Warrington office, allowing its ongoing projects to continue without structural changes. AMPYR Distributed Energy has reported that the combined portfolio contains more than 100 MW contracted capacity across over one hundred fifty locations. The company has also confirmed that its wider activities now include recently initiated operations within the German market.
