AMEA Power, UAE-based renewable energy developer, has partnered with Kyuden International Corporation, a Japan-based power investment company, to advance a large clean-energy project in Egypt. According to AMEA Power, the project has integrated 1,000 MW of solar PV with 600 MWh battery storage in Aswan Governorate. The facility is jointly owned by AMEA Power and Kyuden International Corporation and is expected to reach commercial operation in June 2026. The project is financed through IFC, a Washington-based development finance institution, alongside several international lenders. As per IFC, the financing structure has supported early construction mobilisation before full financial close.  The project is projected to offset about 1.6 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. The project is expected to strengthen Egypt’s energy security, supply dispatchable electricity, reduce emissions, and support local employment during construction. Recently, AMEA Power has commissioned a 120 MWp solar plant in Tunisia.
