AESOLAR, a Germany-based manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, has deployed a 1 MW agrivoltaic scientific pilot project in Poland integrating farming and electricity generation. According to AESOLAR, the project has represented the first large-scale field deployment of the Terra E agricultural module series. The installation was designed as a research-driven system rather than a commercial asset and was co-financed by Poland’s National Centre for Research and Development. The agrivoltaic layout has combined photovoltaic structures, crop cultivation, and integrated water management under monitored conditions. Field trials have compared crops grown beneath the system with reference plots using identical agronomic practices. The project has evaluated microclimate effects, soil behavior, water efficiency, and crop performance. AESOLAR said the system was engineered to maintain agricultural compatibility while delivering stable electricity output.
