EDPR expands solar footprint in Illinois

EDPR NA Distributed Generation LLC has acquired a 20 MWac portfolio of four Illinois Community Solar projects from Renewable Properties, LLC. These projects are expected to generate 42 GWh annually, enough to power over 5,000 homes, enhancing EDPR NA DG’s development pipeline in Illinois. This acquisition supports the growth of EDPR NA DG’s 310 MWp operational capacity across 538 sites. Renewable Properties, a San Francisco-based developer, has over 1 GW of solar and related infrastructure under development. In 2023, EDPR NA opened a Technician Training Facility in Bloomington, IL, training 100 solar and wind technicians annually. KeyBanc advised Renewable Properties on this acquisition.
