EDF operationalized 229 MW Morris Ridge PV project in US

EDF Renewables’ 229 MW Morris Ridge Solar project is operational, powering 47,000 homes and reducing carbon emissions.

US-headquartered EDF Renewables North America (EDFR) renewable developers announced that the Morris Ridge Solar project in Mount Morris, New York, is now fully operational. The 229 MW (DC)/ 177 MW (AC) solar project supports New York’s achieving 70% renewable electricity by 2030. It is expected to provide energy for over 47,000 households, offsetting nearly 140,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually. The project created 550 jobs during sonstruction. It will also deliver $18.6 million in financial contributions to the local community over its operational lifespan.
