Ecoener expands into Panama with new 50 MW PV project

Ecoener will begin construction of a 50 MW photovoltaic plant in Panama this September, marking its expansion in Latin America. Last year the company has reported €64 million in revenue, with a net profit of €12 million and EBITDA of €34 million.Ecoener now operates 740 MW in assets, achieving a 31% increase in total generation to 500 GWh. In 2023, the company invested €124 million to add 140 MW in new capacity, including notable projects like the 96 MW Cumayasa plants in the Dominican Republic and the 41 MW Sunnorte plant in Colombia. Currently, Ecoener has 400 MW under construction and aims to reach 1,000 MW by 2025, supported by long-term PPAs securing 80% of revenues.
