The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing €12.2 million to construct two solar power plants in Romania’s Dolj County. The project, led by Danube Solar Five and managed by Lithuania’s INVL, aims to boost Romania’s renewable energy capacity. With a total capacity of 60 MW, the plants are part of Romania’s efforts to increase renewable energy consumption to 36.2% by 2030. The EBRD’s finance covers half of the €24.4 million bond, with Eiffel Investment Group providing the remaining €12.2 million funds.
